The Forgiveness Meditation

Our current experience is the result of life events that shape our beliefs about who we are and what we deserve. Traumatic experiences can damage our selfimage and bind us to the past. These memories can create anxiety and depression in the present, and produce a deep sense of unworthiness that robs us of our right to peace and safety. We're left feeling separate from the Inner Self, and blocked from the loving power that endows us with the right to become the conscious creators of our lives.

The Inner Self needs only our slightest willingness to flood us with the grace of forgiveness, and release past pain forever. The Forgiveness Meditation invites the Inner Self to begin this process, healing painful memories, and returning us to the peace, the love and the happiness that are our birthright.

This meditation was produced by Kathleen Quinlan, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker respected for her innovative work with children and adults. Kathleen will discuss the nature of guilt and the process of forgiveness from the perspective of the Inner Self, and Its desire to restore the realization of our innocence and the peace it brings to us. Then she will take participants through the meditation itself.
