“I realize there’s something incredibly honest about trees in winter, how they’re experts at letting things go.”
~ Jeffrey McDaniel
When it comes to letting go, nature in winter is our great teacher. Every year, we see trees releasing the most breathtakingly beautiful leaves, until not even one is left. There is a sense of trust that the new way of being that is coming, is worth making room for even at the expense of our most precious familiarities.
In our humanness, releasing and letting go can be an act of profound courage. We can feel like Abraham being asked to sacrifice his only son, Isaac. It’s a kind of death for the person we knew ourselves to be in our attachments. But there is nothing more freeing than letting go of what is no longer serving us. We discover wings we never knew we had, new possibilities emerge beyond what we could have imagined before and we find ourselves more deeply rooted in the Love of God.
Join us this Sunday in a sacred ceremony of release in which we find ourselves created anew and beholding the face of God again for the first time.
We Invite you to join us for our Sunday Experience live on Zoom each Sunday at 9:50 am PT.
